Tina Johnson

#40 Masters Legend

Tina Johnson began her racing career in 2001 with a victory in her first ever Bandolero race.  During her racing career, Tina put together some impressive stats with over 40 feature wins and 75 top five’s.  She holds the title of 2002 Senoia Speedway Track Champion, 2004 State Champion, 3rd in the nation for two consecutive years, first female to win a Bandolero race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Albany Speedway and Senoia Speedway. 

Her most impressive stat may be the respect and care she has for the people around her.  Tina is definitely a people person and loved by all.  The fans, drivers and crews love her and respect what she has done for the sport.      

Tina has been married to her “Crew Chief”, Drew Johnson for 17 years.  She loves animals and has four cats and rescues whatever needs rescued.  She spends countless hours in the gym to prepare for each racing season.  Tina is also part owner of ADJ’s Complete Exteriors.  Tina and Drew take pride in all their work as demonstrated by how perfect her car always looks at the track.  They strive for the same perfection in their business.  Tina will be returning to the track for the 2011 Thursday Thunder series in the new look flat black Legend sporting her original #40.

Jake Armstrong

#6 Semi-Pro Legend

Beginning his career in a Bandolero in 2007, then moving to a Legend Car in 2009, Jake Armstrong has gained respect and creditability as a driver in his short career. Jake's notable accomplishments at Atlanta Motor Speedway are his two Winter Championships, Bandelero track record on the Thunder Ring (16.612), and two Legend Semi-Pro feature wins during the 2010 Thursday Thunder season. Jake plans to only run a couple of Semi-Pro races in the 2011 summer season as his focus is currently on college.

Jake is a freshman at Georgia State University in Atlanta. As the son of an Army Officer, Jake was born in Fort Leonard Wood , Missouri and has lived all over the United States. He is a 2010 graduate of Whitewater High School. Jake is an avid sports fan enjoys working out and hanging out with friends. He is an incredibly talented drawing artist and will likely pursue art as a major or minor in college.

Tyler Armstrong

#6 Semi-Pro Legend

Tyler Armstrong began his racing career in a Bandolero in 2005. Tyler raced the #83 Bandelero for two years and then move up to the #83 Legends Car for two more years. In his four year racing career, Tyler became a front runner and enjoyed a total of six Thursday Thunder Feature Wins at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Tyler was a fan favorite and won the Most Popular Driver Award at Atlanta Motor Speedway in 2006. Look for Tyler to return to the track this summer to run some Semi-Pro races in the #6 TJ Racing Legend Car.

Tyler has attended college at Georgia Southern University and Gordon College before taking a break to work in Texas and Georgia. As the son of an Army Officer, Tyler was born in Aschaffenburg, Germany and has lived all over the United States. He is a 2008 graduate of Whitewater High School. Tyler, known as Stretch to his friends, is an avid sports fan and enjoys hanging out with his numerous friends. Tyler has returned to Gordon college this summer.
