Jake Armstrong wins two in a row!

Thursday July 8th, 2010

#6 Semi-Pro Jake Armstrong: Front runner Jake Armstrong was wondering if he'd ever get a Thursday Thunder victory. Now he has two in row. The White #6 and Red #18 of Luke Behnke battled for 20 exciting laps at Thursday Thunder on July 8th. The persistent Behnke got close a couple of times but Armstrong held him off for his second victory in a row. Jake Armstrong spoke highly of Benke in his victory speech to the Thunder Crowd stating he raced me hard, but clean. These two back to back victories have catapulted Armstrong back into the Semi-Pro point’s race. He now is only 1 point out of the #29 Mike Weed with 3 races to go this summer.

#83 Pro Tina Johnson: Tina Johnson returned for the second time in the Gresham Motorsports 7-11 Roadster. She did not disappoint the fans as she delivered a 3rd place finish in her second race ever in a Roadster. She has quickly adapted to the Roadster and is running incredible lap times in practice. The #83 Legend car she was driving is still being rebuilt after her week 3 triple roll down the back stretch. Stay posted to TJRacing.net for updates on the future of this car.

#43 Semi-Pro Garrett Smithley: Legend Rookie Driver, Garrett Smithley, continues to run extremely well in his inaugural season in the Semi-Pro Legend. Garrett overcame a collision early in the race to finish with another top 5 and stay in the point’s race. Garrett has shown great skill and patience and is still in striking distance of a championship in his Rookie Season.

#10 Bandolero Bandit Abigail Marin: Abigail Marin continues to improve her skills as she now competes in the Beginner Bandit Division. Come watch Abigail as she continues to improve her lap times and begins to mix it up with the other beginners in Bandoleros.
